After finishing a Business administration course at Sussex college, I joined a large well-established engineering company in their accounts department. As a first job, it was a bit of an eye opener but was great fun and I was really well looked after and felt valued.

I wanted to look at other industries and transferred to a large National estate agency chain, again in the accounts department, but also with the responsibility for their rental department. It was very fascinating and gave me a glimpse into the everyday transactions, the buying and selling of properties and the financial transactions, running through the business.

It was great learning but as my family life changed, I looked for something which suited my own domestic situation and my want to work, so took lesser roles within smaller family-based companies to give myself a better work/life balance.

I was delighted to move back into a fuller role and joined HFS as their Client Account Manager. My knowledge of the property market has been very useful and being more client-facing has been great. I’m a proud mother and really family-orientated, so helping our clients with their dream home purchases has been something I can really relate to.
